It became attentive about a month ago when the EU ambassador to The Gambia made a public remark about protecting the rights of “gays and lesbians”. I referred to them as “menstruating men and ejaculating women” in this article.
That two adult, healthy and mature men on the one hand, and two adult, healthy and mature women on the other hand, should be protected by law and indeed unquestionably be loved, tolerated and admire by the Gambian people and social institutions regardless of the people’s (Gambians) traditions, cultures and faiths, in order to enable the “menstruating men and ejaculating women” to make love and practice their lifestyles openly in our societies, and that We (Gambians) should be forced by law to swallow our cultural, traditional and religious anxieties on the issue, and that by law We (Gambian) should be forced to embrace the “menstruating men and ejaculating women” with open arms “not to discriminate” them in our homes, schools, mosques, churches, social institutions, and that we should not refuse to deal with them regardless of our cultural, traditional and religious objections.
What make the EU ambassadors’ comments worrisome, was when an institution, Gambia Human Rights Commission “the commission” took it upon themselves to champion and advocate the causes “to protect the rights” of “menstruating men and ejaculating women” in The Gambia. Its suffices to say that when the Commission makes the comments on the issue of “menstruating men and ejaculating women” the Commission thereby abdicated and deviated from their primary task, duties and responsibilities.
The Commission for obvious reasons deliberately ignored and disregarded the majority of Gambians opinions, their cultural and religious rights and emotions on the issue. The commission should understand that protection of “menstruating men and ejaculating women” in The Gambia does not empower the Commission to ignore and disregard the majority of the public (Gambians) opinions, and their religious and cultural rights which are protected by law and the constitution. This is a matter for the court to decide in due course.
The Commission advocate that, since the law of The Gambia, our culture, our religions, and our opinions does not accept, allow and tolerate “menstruating men and ejaculating women” to practice their lifestyles in The Gambia, We (Gambians) should forcefully “by law” be made to accept, allow and tolerate, this artificial indoctrination, evolving but foreign and imported, yet a radicalize form of social institution, where one man will be the “actor” (husband), and another man “acted upon” (wife).
The first man, the giver; the second man, the receiver in an unnatural intercourse. Where one man offered his “anus” on to another man not out of real love and or affection but for the thousand euros. He chose to act the ‘woman’ for pecuniary gains. As a result the man “acted upon”, later reports the matter to the Police Station that he has started bleeding in the anus profusely, and that he wants the law to be enforce.
The man (turned woman) is now menstruating ! or what else could that be. The man acted upon added in the police diary that the “actor” has refused to pay him the promised 1,000 euros despite the ‘service’ he rendered to him. It is this atrocious, perverse, distasteful, unnatural and hateful institution that the commission sought to enforce by law upon the civilize, peaceful, cultural and religious people and institutions of The Gambia.
When this homosexuality ideas became fashionable in the West, they start threatening non-Western nation (African countries) for not making homosexuals “menstruating men and ejaculating women” practices lawful. And by so doing, the Western powers attacked the “weakest” nations such as The Gambia.
I always ask myself – what exactly feed this trend ? Could God make something unlawful and yet force the same thing on His creatures ? Could God be the author of confusion ? This seems to be the argument proffered by Imam Baba Leigh of the Human Right Commission, an arguably learned man in Islam. But he got it wrong, it is obvious that in Islam homosexuality is an abomination and one of the most hateful crimes.
For example, the Qur’an says in Chapter 7: 80-81: “And (Remember) Lut (Lot) when he said to his people: “Do you commit the worst sin such as none preceding you has committed in the ‘Alamin (mankind and jins)?” – “Verily, you practice your lusts on men instead of women, Nay, but you are a people transgressing beyond bounds (by committing great sins).”
The notion in the West is that human beings own their bodies – they have a right to do whatever pleases them with it. Nowadays, the manifestation of different sexual orientations no matter how sooty and yucky they are, are promoted by European institutions and NGOs as constitutional guaranteed human rights.
Perhaps the most fundamental argument in favour of homosexuals is medical. There are theories that argue that homosexuals orientations are medically valid; that no man begins to lust after his gender except that he is genetically wired to do same (it) and there is nothing that can be done about it.
Thus, when the man, the one “acted upon” complained of his anus profuse bleeding at the Police Station as a result of the perverse practice, I shook my head not out of anger anymore but out of pity. I pity humans who have chosen the path of indignity.
I pity those who have foresaken the natural path in search of certain pleasures; pleasures that ultimately lead to pain and destruction. It becomes evident that male-male and female-female sexual relations goes against nature. It runs against human’s senses of morality. When men get married to men and women are tied in wedlock to their own gender, the very foundation of human societies, the family, becomes destroyed.
Children are deprived the opportunity of having role models in their fathers and mother’s. Again once a society, like the West, reaches the consensus that the abnormal is the new-normal, immorality becomes civil rights. The burden of tolerance is shifted to the larger society, and those who abhor homosexual practices are declaimed as being primeval and antediluvian.
