Police spokesman Superintendent Lamin Njie, has disclosed that an independent investigation into an incident which allegedly involved a Policeman of breaking man’s hand over tussle over motor key has been launched.
The incident is reported to have happened in Boiram. The victim is reported to have been receiving medication.
Superintendent Njie told The Voice: “We can confirm receiving reports of the incident at Brikamaba in which an individual alleged that he was assaulted by an officer.”
“The GPF command has constituted an independent investigation into the. Appropriate actions will be taken following recommendations from the investigations,” he added.
