FARD Donates To Foni communities to Fight Against Covid-19

Foni Agency for Rural Development, Saturday Donated some items to Foni communities. The donated items are meant to combat the spread of COVID-19.

The items donated to them included gallons and liquid soaps.

Speaking at the presentation, Mr. Tombong Tamba on behalf FARD, said the purpose of the donations is for an intervention of the deadly COVID-19.

He stated that, COVID-19 is a global havoc which affecting the whole world.

Mr Tombong disclosed that the items worth over D50,000 and with the that it will  go a long way in fighting the and preventing the virus from spreading to the communities in Foni.

“We came in as a team to put our strength together to make sure our people is safe and protected, because we cannot protect ourselves when our own people are left behind,” he said.

Haruna Badjie, Secretary General of FARD attested that COVID-19 is real and the people of Foni should follow the WHO’s guidelines.

He dilated on the guidelines and encouraged them to remain hygiene always, adding that the gallons will be distributed to markets, clinics, garage and Police Station or entry points to enable them wash their hands as much as possibly can.

He further advised them to observe social distancing in everywhere.

Madam Binta Sey Jadama, on Behalf of Regional Emergency Task Force also made a length remarks and as well advised them to be mindful on the ways they pass information to the locals concerning the pandemic.
