Philanthropist Gives Two Vehicles to Gambia Fire Fighters

The Founder and chief executive officer of Fiona project based in Scotland has donated vehicles including an ambulance and a land rover vehicle to Gambia fire and rescue service.

The Friday donation was made during graduation ceremony personnel of the fire and rescue services in Bakau.

Loui M Mendy, deputy permanent secretary of ministry of interior commended Fiona for giving to the country’s fire fighting services.

He also praised government for creating the enabling environment for kind gesture adding that the team have done a great job by providing the Gambia fire and rescue service with the two vehicles.

He congratulates the graduating fire-fighters for successful completion of the training.

He urged the philanthropist to continue their efforts and also help them with more ambulance and fire service equipment.

Meanwhile, Fiona CEO commended the government and her team for making the journey to the Gambia successful while commended those that raised the funds which enabled her and her team to bring this card to the Gambia.
