The Dutch couple reaffirmed their fruitful partnership with the community of Manduar especially with the Christian community is fruitful since 2014.
The Netherlands couple, Mr. Aad Twigt and Mrs. Anna Twigt was speaking to our reporter in Manduar village of the West Coast Region over the weekend during the 5th anniversary celebration of the fruitful partnership between the couple and the community of Manduar.
According to the couple, they became in contact with the community of Manduar through one Mr. Dominic Mendy who is a citizen of the village.
They explained that since 2014 their partnership with the community of Manduar is growing from strength to strength all because of the trust we have on with Mr. Dominic Mendy.
“Whatever we gave to Mr. Mendy for onward delivery to the Manduar community, it do reach them (the community) on time,” Dutch couple revealed.
The couple informed our reporter that they came this year to The Gambia purposely to celebrate their fruitful partnership with the community of Manduar.
The couple explained that since 2014, they offered help to the needy people within Manduar community in the areas of health, education, drums for the Church, candles, Christmas decorations, introduced Sunday school for the young Christian students where they learnt different activities of the word of God.
Mr. Dominic Mendy, the Dutch Gambian counterpart expressed his thanks to the community of Manduar for the warm welcomed they accorded to the Dutch couple in the community during the 5th anniversary celebration of the partnership.
He appealed to the couple to assist the Christian community of Manduar with a Church, adding ‘’we started constructing the Church but due to financial difficulties we cannot continue with the construction” he appealed.
