An unnamed military man has accidentally shot his colleague at a military checkpoint in Kanilai village, home of former president Yahya Jammeh yesterday.
Source says the soldier has shot one Lance Corporal Samba Bah, who sustained bullet injury.
Family source said Bah, is currently at Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital where he is believed to be responding to treatment.
All efforts to get to the spokesperson of Gambia Armed Forces Mayor Lamin Sanyang remain futile as he was unreachable via his phone.
