Traditional passing out of male circumcised boys

Basse Manneh Kunda   Alkalo (local chief) representative Alasana Manneh JNR has commended the people of the village for demonstrating their commitment to revived traditional and cultural practises of preserving male circumcision for posterity.

He    was speaking to The Voice in Manneh Kunda during activity marking two months stayed in the bush of the boys recently.

He acknowledged Manneh Kunda Family Association for their invaluable contribution to the development of the village, citing fencing of community grave yard, annual Quranic recitation and responding to the development needs of the peoples. He noted that cultural display attach mutual understanding and collaboration.

Nuha Manneh said the circumcision of boys fall in line with promoting safety and health of boys, citing involvement of nurses in cutting of boys. He noted that the months camp of boys has exposed them to learn respect for elders and society.

Abdoukadiri Kuyateh, public relation officer (PRO) of Manneh Kunda Family Association underscored the significant contribution of members in fostering mutual understanding and collaboration in attaining sustainable development. He said cultural performance and preservation is vital in fostering unity and cooperation.
