RAMBO JATTA: ‘HAMAT BAH IS A DISGRACE’

By: Fatoumatta Gassama

Ousman Rambo Jatta, the first deputy leader to Alliance for Patriotic Re-Orientation and Construction (APRC) has described Hamat NK Bah, “as nothing but a disgrace to Gambians”.

Hon. Hamat Bah, Minister of Tourism and Culture and Leader of National Reconciliation Party, (NRP).

Jatta, a former United Democratic Party (UDP) youth leader who later joined APRC was speaking during a political rally over the weekend at Brikama in the West Coast Region.

Jatta explained that:  “I was working at the State House when Hamat Bah came to see H.E, President Jammeh, he was unable to met to him because an elderly person like him was humiliated to see Yahya Jammeh, the NRP leader who always tell people he played an important role during the political impasse is nothing but fictional story”

He claimed that the NRP leader betrayed the coalition government during their struggle and left the country and has come back to meet H.E for the position of Vice President.

He stressed that it is quite disappointing that Hamat Bah was humiliated and embarrassed because his wish couldn’t be granted.

“I warned Hamat Bah to keep quiet otherwise if he talks again I have a document that I would publish to show everyone that the Coalition government are not serious and it is embarrassing for him to sit on the national TV to say untrue stories because Hamat Bah is nothing but a disgrace to Gambians,” the Bakau born politician noted.

He pointed out that the Coalition government are not capable and hardworking to move the country forward because they (the Coalition) don’t have the intention to do so.

He noted that it is quite embarrassing to see the Senegalese flag above the Gambia flag on the Bridge during the opening ceremony by the Coalition government which he called it as a shameless and insult to the nation.

According to him, Yahya Jammeh will never allow such thing to happen because the Bridge belongs to Gambia. Why should it be called the Senegambia Bridge? That has shown that the Coalition government are not serious and incapable.
