YMCA, Police and Olymp/SK East recorded impressive victories in the Week 8 and Week 9 fixtures of the 2026 Gambia Volleyball Federation (GVBF) National Volleyball League.
In the men’s competition, YMCA delivered a commanding performance to defeat GFRS 3-0, winning the three sets 25-6, 25-9 and 25-12.
Police also secured a straight-set victory over GAMTEL/G, claiming the match 25-20, 25-15 and 25-13.
Olymp/SK East completed another dominant 3-0 win, defeating GFRS with set scores of 25-8, 25-8 and 25-9.
In the women’s competition, GFRS bounced back with a convincing 3-0 victory over YMCA, taking the sets 25-14, 30-28 and 25-21.
Police maintained their impressive form with another straight-set victory, overcoming GAMTEL/G 25-15, 25-15 and 25-22.
The highlight of the fixtures was the women’s encounter between GFRS and Olymp/SK East, which went the full distance before Olymp/SK East emerged 3-2 winners.
Olymp/SK East claimed the opening set 25-20, but GFRS fought back to win the second and third sets 28-26 and 29-27. Olymp/SK East responded by taking the fourth set 26-24 before dominating the deciding set 15-3 to seal the victory.
The latest results have further intensified competition in both the men’s and women’s divisions as clubs continue their pursuit of the 2026 National Volleyball League titles.
