The Serrekunda West Sports Organisation (SWESO) has conducted the group stage draw for the 2026 Nawettan Championship, with 40 teams divided into eight groups ahead of the start of the annual community football competition.
SWESO said the official kickoff date for the tournament will be announced after the Alhagie M.O. Faal Super Cup, scheduled for 9 August 2026, which will serve as the traditional curtain-raiser. The Super Cup will feature Bilbao against Tababi.
The teams have been drawn as follows:
Group A: Bilbao, Future Stars, Hapapa, Celtic, Tranquil.
Group B: Gintos, Tigers, Janta Bi, Erenjang United, Laha Bi.
Group C: Unicorns, Cambell Town, Babun Fatty, Kaw Tally, Jama Ak Salam.
Group D: Star Boys, Anfield, Jeshwang City, Latrikunda FC, Jattaz.
Group E: Jarintong, Luzan, Kanifing Layout, Old Jeshwang, Juma Bi.
Group F: Tababi, Pencha, Junction Bi, BK Central, Newcastle.
Group G: Badala, Manga 11, Empty Land, Hunters, Old Hands.
Group H: Real de Jeshwang, Kanifing United, Galaxy, Blackpool, Shop Bi.
The annual SWESO Nawettan is one of the most prominent community football competitions in the Greater Banjul Area, attracting wide participation and strong support from football enthusiasts.
