The Governor of the Upper River Region, Samba Bah, has called on members of the region’s Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) to work in unity in the national interest while urging action on reports of alleged abuse involving public servants.
Addressing a recent TAC meeting, Governor Bah said public institutions must strengthen accountability and embrace reform to improve service delivery.
He stressed that public servants have a duty to work collaboratively and remain focused on national development objectives.
Governor Bah also expressed concern over reports that health workers had been threatened for attempting to expose alleged sexual abuse cases, calling for transparency and prompt attention to such matters in order to protect victims and maintain public trust.
He urged officials in the region to support reforms aimed at improving governance, reinforcing integrity and enhancing the effectiveness of public institutions.
The governor says effective governance depends on cooperation among stakeholders and a shared commitment to the public good.
