The Serrekunda West Sports Organisation (SWESO) has released the Round One fixtures for the 2026 Nawettan Qualifying Round, with participating teams now knowing their opening opponents in the race for qualification.
According to SWESO, the opening round will be played at the LK School Field and Kotu Field, with matches set to kick off on Friday, 3 July.
A total of 16 fixtures will be played over four matchdays as clubs compete for places in the next stage of the competition.
Among the headline Round One fixtures are Bundas Kids F.A against Southern F.C, Golden F.C versus Makaan Bii F.C, Lions of T-Town F.C against Preston F.C, Parliament Yard F.C versus SK City, and Invincible F.C taking on Runn Mango DK.
The qualifying tournament is expected to showcase emerging football talent and the competitive spirit that has made the Nawettan season one of The Gambia’s most anticipated grassroots football competitions.
SWESO wished all participating teams success in the competition and urged football supporters to turn out in large numbers to cheer on their respective clubs as the battle for qualification begins.
