Gambian striker Patrick Demba has signed a two-year contract with Slovakian club FC Nitra, becoming the first player from Baalor Sarr FC to secure a professional transfer abroad, according to information provided by his club.

The forward, who hails from Faraba Banta, has signed a contract running from 2026 to 2028, marking a new stage in his football career.

His transfer is also a milestone for Baalor Sarr FC, known as the Crocodile Boys, as the club seeks to develop young talent and create pathways for players to pursue professional careers outside The Gambia.

Demba established himself as one of the club’s promising attacking players, earning recognition for his goal-scoring ability, determination and commitment on the pitch.

His move to Slovakia will provide him with an opportunity to adapt to a new football environment and further develop his skills in European football.

The transfer is expected to serve as encouragement to other young players at Baalor Sarr FC and aspiring footballers across The Gambia who hope to pursue professional careers abroad.

Demba’s progress at FC Nitra will now be closely watched by supporters of his former club as he begins the next chapter of his career.
