Defending knockout champions Sanchaba United began their Brufut Nawettan campaign with an impressive 4-2 victory over FC Luka in a Group G encounter on Match Day 13.
Sanchaba United made a bright start, with Basiru Conteh Jack opening the scoring in the seventh minute before Ebrima Daffeh, popularly known as “Session”, doubled the advantage in the 27th minute. The goal marked his second in successive matches after scoring in the Super Cup victory over Kenebaring United.
FC Luka responded strongly before the interval, with Lamin Jabbi and Sanna Darboe finding the net to level the score at 2-2 by half-time.
Sanchaba United regained the initiative after the break when Lamin Manneh Bale restored the team’s lead in the 41st minute. Ebrima Sanyang later sealed the victory with the fourth goal in the 72nd minute.
Despite being reduced to 10 men following the late dismissal of Lamin Demba, Sanchaba United held firm to preserve their two-goal advantage and secure all three points in their opening Group G fixture.
