Samger FC have appointed Gambian coach Bowyer Gibba as their new head coach on a two-year contract as the club prepares for the upcoming season.
Gibba joins the Academy Boys shortly after leaving Colley Stars FC, whom he guided to promotion to the GFF Division One last season.
The appointment comes as Samger seek to return to the GFF Division One after their relegation, with Gibba tasked with leading the club’s promotion campaign.
Gibba parted ways with Colley Stars less than a week before agreeing to take charge of Samger.
He replaces Amat Cham and brings previous promotion experience to a club aiming to rebuild and challenge for a place in the country’s top flight.
His two-year contract gives him the opportunity to develop the squad and work towards Samger’s return to Division One.
Gibba’s immediate task will be to prepare the Academy Boys for the new season and translate his previous promotion success into results with his new club.
