Brikama United midfielder Samba Jatta has travelled to Turkey for a one-month trial with Turkish club Konyaspor after an impressive 2025/26 season in The Gambia.
The box-to-box midfielder was one of Brikama United’s standout performers, scoring six goals and providing four assists while playing a pivotal role in the club’s midfield.
Jatta earned the opportunity through his consistent displays, high work rate and ability to contribute at both ends of the pitch throughout the campaign.
The trial with Konyaspor offers the Gambian midfielder a chance to impress the Turkish side and potentially secure a move to European football.
Brikama United confirmed Jatta’s departure and wished him every success during his month-long stay in Turkey.
