Gambian forward Nfansu Njie scored twice as Hungary’s ETO FC Győr defeated FC Atert Bissen of Luxembourg 6-2 in the first leg of their UEFA Conference League second qualifying round tie on Tuesday.
Njie played a key role in his side’s commanding victory, scoring once in each half as ETO FC Győr established a comfortable advantage ahead of the return leg.
The Gambian striker opened his account in the 44th minute before adding his second goal three minutes after the restart to make it 4-1.
The comprehensive victory leaves the Hungarian club well placed to advance to the next round of the UEFA Conference League qualifiers.
Njie’s brace underlines his growing importance to ETO FC Győr and continues the strong performances of Gambian players competing in European club competitions.
