Gambian forward Musa Njie provided an assist as Umeå FC defeated Hammarby TFF 2-1 on Sunday in Sweden’s Ettan Norra.
Njie, a former BST Galaxy player, set up Umeå FC’s opening goal in the 35th minute, providing the assist for Sam Forsman to put the home side ahead.
Hammarby TFF levelled in first-half stoppage time when N. Ek scored in the 45+2nd minute to make it 1-1 at the interval.
Umeå FC regained the lead in the 69th minute through Adam Sandström, who finished to make it 2-1.
Njie remained on the pitch until the 75th minute before being substituted, with Hassan Abdi Hassan coming on in his place.
The assist adds to the 19-year-old Gambian forward’s contributions during his loan spell in Swedish football.
