Gambian international forward Musa Barrow is reportedly close to joining Saudi Pro League club Al-Khaleej on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract with Al-Taawoun.
Local media reports said negotiations between Al-Khaleej and the 27-year-old striker are at an advanced stage, with the club confident of completing the deal ahead of the new Saudi Pro League season.
Barrow became a free agent at the end of June after his contract with Al-Taawoun expired.
The former Bologna forward enjoyed two productive seasons with Al-Taawoun, contributing goals and assists while establishing himself as one of the club’s key attacking players.
Reports indicated that Al-Taawoun sought to retain the Gambian international by offering him a contract extension, but the two parties failed to reach an agreement before his deal expired.
If the move is completed, Barrow will remain in Saudi Arabia for the upcoming season with Al-Khaleej.
