Gambian youngster Muhamadou Kanteh continued his goalscoring form for Shakhtar Donetsk U21, scoring in their 4-3 defeat to LNZ Cherkasy U21 in the Ukrainian U21 Championship Youth League on Monday.
Kanteh found the net in the 51st minute to put Shakhtar 2-1 ahead in an entertaining encounter.
However, LNZ Cherkasy fought back to overturn the deficit and secure a 4-3 victory.
The goal adds to Kanteh’s promising development at the Ukrainian club, where he has featured regularly within Shakhtar’s youth setup.
The Gambian forward previously enjoyed a prolific spell at U19 level, reportedly scoring 28 goals during a season in the Ukrainian U19 National League.
His performances have also earned him opportunities around Shakhtar’s senior and youth teams as he continues his development within the club’s football academy.
Kanteh’s latest goal further underlines his progress as he seeks to establish himself at a higher level of the game.
