Gambian U-17 winger Omar Badjie is reportedly attracting interest from European giants Liverpool and Bayern Munich following his performances at the WAFU Zone A U-17 tournament in Senegal.
The Gambinos Stars Africa youngster has emerged as one of the players to watch after making an impressive cameo appearance against Sierra Leone.
Despite limited playing time, Badjie made an immediate impact, providing an assist and repeatedly troubling the Sierra Leone defence with his pace, close control and ability to take on defenders one-on-one.
The young winger’s technical ability and direct approach stood out, with his willingness to attack defenders adding another dimension to The Gambia’s offensive play.
While Badjie still has areas of his game to develop, particularly his decision-making and execution in certain situations, his pace, technical ability and attacking instincts provide a promising foundation for his continued development.
The reported interest from Liverpool and Bayern Munich could further raise the profile of the young Gambian as he continues his development at youth level.
Badjie will be hoping to build on his performances at the WAFU tournament and establish himself as one of the country’s promising young talents.
