The ninth edition of the KARDO National Stage concluded with three Gambian artists earning the right to represent the country at the KARDO International Grand Final scheduled for 16-20 September in Vladivostok, Russia.
The national competition brought together contestants in the DJ, rap and graffiti categories, with DJ Ziggler winning the DJ Direction, Myk Jayda taking the Rap Direction title, and Mun-Jollof emerging champion in the Graffiti Direction.
Organisers expressed appreciation to participants, judges, volunteers, partners and supporters for contributing to the success of the event.
They also acknowledged the support of sponsors and partners, including Africell Gambia, Motherland Events Centre, RXWTLNT Inc., Njie CHARAKH World Market, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the KARDO Foundation.
The organisers further thanked media organisations, bloggers, photographers, videographers and content creators for promoting the event and highlighting Gambian creative talent.
Special recognition was also given to KARDO Ambassador Gibril Faal and the Smile Nation Team for their efforts in promoting opportunities for Gambian creatives to showcase their talents internationally.
The organisers said the competition forms part of broader efforts to promote Gambian street art and culture on the global stage.
