Juwany and Late Sulayman Jallow secured the final two semifinal places in the Essau Zone Nawettan competition after recording victories in their respective quarterfinal matches on Tuesday.
Juwany edged Sohna Academy 1-0 in a closely contested encounter to book a place in the last four.
Musa Sanyang scored the only goal of the match 10 minutes into the second half to give Juwany the lead.
The goal was Sanyang’s fifth of the campaign and his fifth in his last two matches.
Sohna Academy pressed for an equaliser but Juwany held firm to preserve its advantage and advance to the semifinals.
Juwany, the League Cup holders, will face Dego FC in the next round.
In the other quarterfinal, Late Sulayman Jallow defeated defending champions Medina Daru 3-1 in a comeback victory.
Medina Daru took the lead through Mamat Bah in the 45th minute and went into the interval ahead.
Late Sulayman Jallow responded strongly after the restart, with substitute Alieu Jawo scoring a hat-trick.
Jawo equalised in the 49th minute before adding his second goal in the 64th minute. He completed his hat-trick in the 72nd minute to seal the 3-1 victory.
The defeat ended Medina Daru’s bid to retain the title and ended their hopes of winning a third consecutive championship.
