Hunters came from a goal down to defeat Empty Land 3-1, while Manga 11 recorded a 2-0 victory over Old Hands in Tuesday’s SWESO Nawettan League matches.
Hunters 3-1 Empty Land
Hunters produced a strong second-half comeback to secure all three points against Empty Land.
Empty Land took the lead in the 13th minute through Lawrence Gomez, but Hunters responded seven minutes later when Tijan Jarju equalised to send the teams into halftime level at 1-1.
Hunters returned from the break with renewed determination and completed the turnaround in the 56th minute through Lamine Jarra.
Hamza Jarju added a third goal three minutes later to give Hunters a 3-1 advantage.
Empty Land pushed for a comeback but failed to breach the Hunters defence, as the latter held on for a deserved victory.
Old Hands 0-2 Manga 11
Manga 11 secured a 2-0 win over Old Hands in the second fixture.
The first half ended goalless, with both sides struggling to create clear scoring opportunities.
Manga 11 eventually broke the deadlock in the 54th minute when Alieu Gibba found the net.
Old Hands pressed for an equaliser, but Manga 11 remained organised and doubled their lead in the 78th minute through Loly Gomez.
Manga 11 comfortably managed the closing stages to secure all three points.
