Gambian international striker Bubacarr Tambedou has completed a permanent transfer to Danish Superliga side Sønderjyske, signing a four-year contract following an impressive spell with Estonian champions FCI Levadia.
The 24-year-old joins the Danish top-flight club after emerging as one of the most prolific forwards in the Estonian Premium Liiga. At the time of his departure, he was the league’s leading scorer with 14 goals in 20 matches this season.
His consistent performances attracted interest from several clubs, with Sønderjyske securing his signature on a long-term deal.
Tambedou began his professional career with Real de Banjul before moving abroad, where he established himself as one of The Gambia’s promising attacking talents.
His transfer to Sønderjyske marks the sixth professional club of his career since leaving the Gambian champions and represents another milestone in his European football journey.
The move is expected to provide the Gambian forward with an opportunity to compete at a higher level in one of Scandinavia’s top football leagues.
