Gambian midfielder Saikou Touray made his second consecutive appearance for Finnish champions KuPS as the club advanced to the next round of the UEFA Champions League qualifiers after eliminating FK Vardar Skopje.
Touray came off the bench in the second-leg match after making his debut in the first leg a week earlier. KuPS progressed with a 4-3 aggregate victory over the North Macedonian side.
The midfielder’s inclusion in both legs of the qualifying tie underlines the confidence the KuPS coaching staff have placed in him since his recent arrival at the club.
Touray joined the Finnish champions ahead of their European campaign and has quickly integrated into the squad, featuring in successive Champions League qualifying matches.
KuPS will now continue their campaign in the next qualifying round, with Touray expected to compete for further playing opportunities as the Finnish side pursues a place in the UEFA Champions League group stage.
