Gambian midfielder Ebrima Singhateh made an impressive debut for AC Sparta Praha by providing an assist in the Czech club’s 4-1 victory over Slezský FC Opava in a pre-season friendly played on Saturday.
The match, held at the TCM Strahov training centre, saw Singhateh set up Lukáš Haraslín for Sparta Praha’s opening goal in the 21st minute.
Singhateh, who recently joined Sparta Praha from FK Jablonec on a multi-year contract as one of the club’s first signings of the summer transfer window, made an immediate impact in his first appearance.
Sparta Praha went on to record a comfortable 4-1 victory, with the Gambian midfielder’s assist underlining his creative ability as he begins his career with the Czech champions.
The performance provides an encouraging start for the young midfielder ahead of the new season under head coach Brian Priske, as he seeks to establish himself in the first team.
