Serrekunda United forward Muhammed Ceesay has completed his move to Saudi Arabian club Al Ansar FC following an impressive 2025/26 campaign in The Gambia’s Second Division.

Ceesay, who played as both a winger and striker, contributed 13 goals in total during the season, scoring nine goals and providing four assists.

The Gambian attacker’s performances for Serrekunda United helped attract interest from abroad and paved the way for his move to Al Ansar FC.

Ceesay was a key attacking outlet for Serrekunda United throughout the campaign, using his pace, movement and finishing ability to contribute to the team’s offensive play.

His versatility allowed him to operate in different positions across the frontline, while his goal contributions made him one of the notable performers in the Second Division during the 2025/26 season.

The move to Saudi Arabia marks a new stage in Ceesay’s career, giving the young Gambian forward an opportunity to continue his development in a different football environment.

His transfer also adds to the growing number of Gambian players seeking opportunities in leagues outside the country as they pursue professional careers at the international level.
