Gambian footballers Mustapha Nyassi and Baboucarr Faal featured for their respective clubs as FC Copenhagen and FC Viktoria Plzeň played to a 1-1 draw in a pre-season friendly.
Nyassi, a promising Gambian youngster, was named in FC Copenhagen’s starting lineup and continued his positive development after being included in the Danish club’s senior team setup.
Faal, who plays for Czech champions Viktoria Plzeň, also featured in the encounter, providing an opportunity for the two Gambian forwards to meet on the European stage.
The match ended level after both sides produced an entertaining performance, with the two players sharing a photograph after the final whistle, highlighting the growing presence of Gambian footballers in European leagues.
