The Gambia Law Society, under the leadership of Senior Counsel Lamin K. Mboge, has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the judiciary and strengthening the administration of justice in The Gambia.
The Society made the commitment during a courtesy visit to the Chief Justice, Justice Edi M. O. Faal, at his chambers in Banjul on 12th August 2026.
During the visit, the Law Society congratulated Justice Faal on his appointment as Chief Justice and Head of the Judiciary, describing his elevation as recognition of his legal expertise, integrity and longstanding commitment to the rule of law and the administration of justice.
The Society said the visit was also intended to reaffirm its support for the Chief Justice and the Judiciary.
It expressed its readiness to work closely with the judiciary and other stakeholders in advancing the administration of justice, while remaining committed to defending and upholding the Constitution and the rule of law.
In response, Chief Justice Faal thanked Senior Counsel Mboge and members of the Gambia Law Society for the visit and the goodwill extended to him.
He welcomed the Society’s commitment to cooperation and expressed his readiness to work closely with the legal profession and other stakeholders to strengthen the administration of justice.
The Chief Justice further pledged to advance the judiciary towards the highest standards of professionalism and excellence.
