Glasgow, Scotland (PANA) – Gambian judoka Faye Njie has won a bronze medal in the Men’s -73kg Judo event at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, adding another major achievement to his impressive international career.
Njie secured his place on the podium after a strong performance in a highly competitive category, demonstrating determination, experience and technical ability throughout the tournament.
The medal marks Njie’s second consecutive Commonwealth Games podium finish after winning silver at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
His latest success makes him a back-to-back Commonwealth Games medallist and further cements his status as one of The Gambia’s leading athletes on the global stage.
The achievement adds to The Gambia’s growing presence at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, with the country’s sporting community celebrating Njie’s continued contribution to national pride.
