Gambian youngsters Ebrima Jatta and Abdoulie Jatta have signed their first professional contracts with Turkish Süper Lig club Gençlerbirliği Spor Kulübü.
The two players from Esohna Academy have signed two-year contracts with the Turkish club, with Ebrima Jatta joining as a defender and Abdoulie Jatta as a midfielder.
The Gambian duo are expected to join Gençlerbirliği’s youth setup for the 2026/27 Turkish Youth League season, where they will continue their development and gain experience at a higher level of competition.
Their move to Türkiye marks an important step in the careers of the two young players and represents another pathway for Gambian football talents seeking opportunities in professional football abroad.
Ebrima and Abdoulie Jatta will now compete for places within the Gençlerbirliği youth ranks as they work towards progressing to senior-level football.
Their transfer also highlights the role of local academies such as Esohna Academy in developing young Gambian players and facilitating their transition to international football.
The two players will hope to build on their experience in Türkiye and establish themselves within the Turkish club’s development system.
