The Brikama Magistrate’s Court has granted bail of D100,000 to Musa Faal, a resident of Brikama Manduar, who is facing a theft charge involving D113,970.
Faal appeared before Magistrate A. Darboe on Monday, Sept. 7, 2026, and was charged with theft contrary to Section 226 of the Criminal Offences Act 2025.

When the charge was read to him, Faal pleaded not guilty.
Sergeant 7232 E. Fofana, representing the Inspector General of Police, did not object to the accused being granted bail.
The court subsequently granted Faal bail in the sum of D100,000 with two Gambian sureties.
The matter was adjourned to Sept. 23, 2026, for the prosecution to call its first witness.
