The goal followed Bojang’s strike in Reims’ previous pre-season fixture against Belgian side Charleroi, making it two goals in two consecutive friendly matches ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

The former Steve Biko FC forward has impressed during the club’s pre-season preparations with his movement, pace and finishing, strengthening his bid for increased first-team opportunities.

His recent performances are expected to boost his confidence as he competes for a regular place in the squad ahead of the new season.

Bojang, who has represented The Gambia at youth and senior international levels, will be aiming to maintain his goalscoring form in the remaining pre-season fixtures before the start of the 2026/27 season.
