AJ Girls FC and LK Stars FC played out a goalless draw as Week Five of the 2026 Kanifing Municipal Regional Football Association (KMRFA) Third Division Female League got underway at the Manjai Football Field.
Both sides produced an entertaining contest despite the lack of goals, displaying determination, tactical discipline and defensive resilience throughout the match.
AJ Girls FC enjoyed extended spells of possession and created several attacking opportunities but were unable to break down a well-organised LK Stars defence.
LK Stars FC also threatened on several occasions, but resolute defending and assured goalkeeping by AJ Girls kept the scores level.
The intensity increased as both teams searched for a breakthrough in the closing stages, but neither side managed to find the decisive finish, with both defences holding firm to secure clean sheets.
The draw earned each team a point as the race for honours in the 2026 KMRFA Third Division Female League continues. Both sides will now turn their attention to their next fixtures as they seek to improve their positions in the league standings.
