Gambian international Abdoulie Ceesay scored as FC St. Pauli defeated Karlsruher SC 2-0 in the German Bundesliga 2 on Sunday, continuing his impressive start to the 2026/2027 campaign.

Ceesay opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, netting his third goal of the season to give St. Pauli the advantage before half-time.

The Gambian forward made an early impact, using his pace and pressing ability to trouble the opposition defence. In the fifth minute, he won possession high up the pitch from Karlsruher defender Christoph Kobald, creating an early attacking opportunity for his side.

Ceesay continued to threaten the visitors and came close to scoring again before the interval, underlining his growing influence in St. Pauli’s attacking play.

St. Pauli went on to secure all three points with a 2-0 victory, moving up to seventh place in the standings. The result marked the club’s second win of the season and extended its unbeaten run to four consecutive matches.

For Ceesay, the goal represents another significant contribution as he continues to establish himself in German football and build momentum in the new campaign.
