Gambian football prospect Abdallah Jatta has completed a move to Turkish club Gençlerbirliği, signing a two-year contract after leaving ESohna Football Academy.
The transfer marks another step in the youngster’s developing career and gives him an opportunity to test himself in the Turkish football system.
Jatta will look to build on his experience in The Gambia as he competes for a place in the Gençlerbirliği squad and continues his development in a new competitive environment.
Before his move to Turkey, Jatta featured for Gambia Ports Authority (GPA), popularly known as the Ferry Boys, in the GFF domestic league.
His time with GPA provided valuable senior-level experience and helped the youngster develop his game before securing the opportunity to pursue his career abroad.
The two-year agreement with Gençlerbirliği provides Jatta with a platform to further develop his abilities while becoming another Gambian player pursuing opportunities in international football.
The move is expected to expose the youngster to a higher level of competition and provide him with valuable experience as he seeks to establish himself in Turkish football.
