Gambian winger Alieu Conateh has returned to Swiss Super League club Grasshopper Club Zürich following the completion of his loan spell with Austrian second-tier side SKU Ertl Glas Amstetten.
Conateh joined Grasshopper from the youth academy of Bayern Munich in the summer of 2025 on a contract running until 2028 before being loaned to Amstetten to gain first-team experience.
The young winger impressed during his time in Austria, making about 26 appearances, most of them as a starter, and contributing around 10 goal involvements through goals and assists.
One of the highlights of his campaign was a hat-trick scored early in the season, further demonstrating his attacking potential.
Following the completion of his loan spell, Conateh has rejoined Grasshopper Zürich and is expected to compete for a place in the club’s first-team squad ahead of the 2026/27 Swiss Super League season.
