Gambian midfielder Modou Lamin Marong is attracting interest from several European clubs ahead of a possible summer transfer from Slovakian side FC ŠTK Šamorin.
Scottish Premiership clubs Hibernian FC and Dundee United are among the teams reported to have made enquiries about the midfielder. Cypriot side AEK Larnaca and Hungarian champions ETO Győr FC are also monitoring his situation.
The reported interest follows Marong’s performances for FC ŠTK Šamorin, where he has established himself as one of the promising Gambian players based in Europe.
According to reports, no decision has yet been made on the player’s future. His representatives, led by former England youth international Cherno Samba, are assessing the available options before deciding on his next move.
Marong is expected to be the subject of further transfer interest during the summer window as clubs seek to strengthen their squads ahead of the new season.
