Raptim FC defeated AJ Girls FC 2-0, while LK Stars FC and Box Bii FC played out a 1-1 draw in Week Four of the Kanifing Municipal Regional Football Association (KMRFA) Women’s Third Division League on Sunday.
At Buffer Zone, Raptim FC secured all three points through a second-half brace by Zainab Bass. She opened the scoring in the 68th minute before adding a second four minutes later to seal the victory over AJ Girls FC.
In the day’s other fixture at Manjai Park, LK Stars FC took an early lead through Awa Jaiteh in the 10th minute.
Box Bii FC responded after the break, with Ramatoulie Badjie scoring the equaliser in the 60th minute to earn her side a share of the points.
The results further tightened the race in the KMRFA Women’s Third Division League as teams continue their campaign for promotion and league honours.
