Gambia Football Federation (GFF) presidential aspirant Kemo Ceesay is scheduled to unveil his election manifesto on Saturday at Paradise Suites Hotel as part of his campaign for the federation’s presidency.
The event, expected to begin at 10:00 a.m., is set to bring together football stakeholders, club officials, delegates, coaches, former players, supporters and members of the media.
According to Ceesay’s campaign team, the manifesto will outline his vision and policy proposals for the development and administration of football in The Gambia.
The document is expected to address issues including grassroots football development, governance and transparency, financial accountability, youth and women’s football, infrastructure development, coaching education, referee welfare and collaboration with clubs and regional football associations.
Ceesay, popularly known in football circles as “The Coach”, is also expected to present proposals aimed at strengthening talent development and improving the structures supporting football across the country.
The manifesto launch will provide delegates and stakeholders with an opportunity to examine the aspirant’s plans and priorities ahead of the forthcoming GFF presidential election.
Observers view the event as an important stage in the election campaign as candidates seek to present their programmes and convince delegates of their suitability to lead the country’s football governing body.
The GFF presidential election is expected to determine the leadership that will oversee the future direction of football development in The Gambia.
