Gambian striker Kebba Badjie scored twice to inspire FK Jerv to a 2-1 comeback victory over Sandviken in the Norwegian PostNord-ligaen on Sunday, helping his side maintain its lead at the top of the table.
The 26-year-old forward delivered a standout performance as FK Jerv recovered from an early setback to secure all three points before their home supporters.
After Sandviken took the lead, Badjie spearheaded the comeback with two goals, finding the net in the 31st and 58th minutes to turn the match in Jerv’s favour.
Badjie started the match and played 85 minutes, producing an impressive all-round display that earned him recognition as the game’s outstanding performer.
The brace increased his tally to three goals in nine league appearances this season, underlining his growing importance in FK Jerv’s attack.
The victory strengthened FK Jerv’s promotion hopes, with the club moving two points clear of second-placed Sandviken at the summit of the PostNord-ligaen standings after 10 matches.
