Gambian Dutch Lions defender Buba Darboe has emerged as one of the standout performers in Gambian football this season, playing a key role in his club’s strong defensive record.
The centre-back has been a regular fixture in the Gambian Dutch Lions team, providing stability and consistency at the heart of the defence throughout the campaign.
Known for his height, physical presence and aerial ability, Darboe has established himself as a difficult opponent for attackers. His reading of the game, timely interceptions and ability to deal with danger inside the penalty area have contributed significantly to his team’s performances.
The Gambian Dutch Lions have recorded 14 clean sheets this season, with Darboe playing a central role in the club’s defensive success. He has formed effective partnerships with fellow defenders Haruna Kujabi, Gibril Dumbuya and Lamin Jawara during the course of the campaign.
