The criminal trial of former Jungler Sanna Manjang, who faces multiple counts of murder and assault, continued on Friday at the Banjul High Court under strict security measures.
The proceedings were held in camera before Justice S.K. Jobarteh, with the courtroom closed to the public and media to allow for the testimony of a protected witness.
The court ordered the closed session as part of measures to safeguard the identity of the witness and ensure secure testimony in the ongoing case.
No details of the witness testimony were disclosed due to the confidential nature of the proceedings.
The trial is scheduled to resume on 19 June 2026, when prosecution witness seven is expected to testify following the completion of the protected witness phase.
