Samanafa FC have qualified for the quarter-finals of the URRFA Third Division League after defeating Kuteh Jombulu FC 5-4 on penalties following a goalless draw in regulation time.
The match, played on Tuesday, was a tightly contested encounter in which both sides showed strong defensive organisation and discipline.
Despite several attempts from either team, neither Samanafa FC nor Kuteh Jombulu FC managed to break the deadlock during normal time, forcing the tie into a penalty shootout.
In the decisive shootout, both teams converted their early spot-kicks under pressure, but Samanafa FC held their composure to edge the contest 5-4 and secure qualification.
The result sends Samanafa FC into the quarter-finals of the competition, keeping their promotion hopes alive in the URRFA Third Division League.
Kuteh Jombulu FC exit the tournament after a resilient performance in a closely fought match.
