President Adama Barrow has described the inauguration of the new head office of Global Properties Limited in Kotu as a significant milestone for the company and a landmark achievement for The Gambia’s private sector.

Speaking at the official opening ceremony on Wednesday, the President said the new headquarters symbolized what Gambians can achieve through vision, determination and hard work.

“This inaugural ceremony is a powerful reminder of what Gambians, individually as patriots and collectively as a nation, can achieve if we are bold enough and match our noble plans with an equally strong determination to excel,” Barrow said.

The president noted that the success of Global Properties Limited demonstrated the importance of pursuing a clear vision and remaining focused on long-term goals despite challenges.

He said the company had evolved over the past 19 years from a modest enterprise into one of the country’s leading real estate institutions.

According to Barrow, the new head office reflects both the company’s physical and corporate growth, marking its transition from a tenant to a property owner and highlighting its journey from humble beginnings to stability and success.

He commended the company’s contribution to national development, particularly in the areas of housing, infrastructure and job creation.

The president paid tribute to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Global Properties Limited, Saul Frazer, describing him as a dedicated entrepreneur whose efforts have positively impacted thousands of Gambians.

“For nearly two decades, Mr. Frazer has contributed tremendously to national development through infrastructure expansion, affordable housing initiatives and land ownership opportunities for Gambian families,” he said.

Barrow noted that the company’s activities have helped shape communities, create employment opportunities and strengthen the country’s real estate sector.

He said Global Properties had established new standards of professionalism, transparency and quality in the industry while demonstrating that Gambian-owned businesses can compete successfully at the highest level.

The president reiterated his government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive and for entrepreneurs to realize their full potential.

“The success of Global Properties is proof that when Gambians are empowered, they can deliver excellence that stands the test of quality and durability on the world stage,” he said.

Barrow further described the new head office as a contribution to the architectural and commercial development of Kotu and its surrounding areas.

He congratulated Frazer and the entire Global Properties team on the achievement and expressed hope that the new facility would support the company’s continued growth and service to the nation.
