GAF Men Fall to Olympafric as Saint Waa Banjul Impress in Week 5 Action

Olympafric/SK East Men produced a major upset on Sunday, defeating league leaders and defending champions GAF Men 3–1 in Week 5, Day 3 action of the National Volleyball Championship 2026.

At the SK East Volleyball Court, Olympafric took control early, winning the first two sets 25–21 and 25–22 before GAF responded by taking the third set 26–24. However, the hosts held firm in the fourth set, sealing a 25–22 win to complete the upset.

In the women’s match at the same venue, GAF Women responded with a dominant 3–0 victory over Olympafric/SK East Women, winning 25–10, 25–7 and 25–23.

At the Banjul court, Saint Waa Banjul Men continued their strong form with a straight-sets victory over Prison Men, winning 25–16, 25–21 and 25–22.

In the women’s encounter, Prison Women defeated Saint Waa Banjul Women 3–1. Prison took the first two sets 25–21 and 25–13, dropped the third 22–25, before closing out the match 25–17 in the fourth set.
