Walimang FC booked their place in the NBRFA Third Division Eastern Zone Final after defeating Samakung United 4–1 on penalties following a goalless semifinal encounter on Sunday.
The tightly contested match ended 0–0 after regulation time, with both sides showing defensive discipline and creating limited clear-cut chances, forcing a penalty shootout to decide the winner.
Walimang FC goalkeeper Sainey Dibba emerged as the hero of the day, saving Samakung United’s first two penalties to give his side a crucial advantage.
Walimang maintained composure during the shootout, converting all four of their spot-kicks, with Sarjo Sanyang scoring the decisive penalty to seal victory and spark celebrations.
The result sends Walimang FC into the Eastern Zone Final, where they will face league phase champions Blacka FA for a place in the Regional Final.
