TMT Ladies ended defending champions Berewuleng’s unbeaten run with a 2-0 victory as Red Scorpion and Fortune Female F.C also secured important wins in Week 16 of the GFF Women’s First Division League.
At the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama, TMT Ladies produced a strong second-half performance to defeat league leaders Berewuleng and cut the gap at the top of the table to three points.
After a goalless first half, TMT broke the deadlock in the 46th minute when Berewuleng defender Kaddy Sanyang inadvertently turned a cross from Fatou Sonko into her own net.
The hosts sealed victory deep into stoppage time through Mariama Sonko, who capitalised on a goalkeeping error to score from close range and secure all three points.
At the Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum, Red Scorpion returned to winning ways with a 1-0 win over Police.
The decisive moment came in the 77th minute when Bintou Ceesay put the ball into her own net, handing Red Scorpion a valuable victory.
In another Week 16 fixture, Fortune Female F.C defeated Immigration 1-0 at the Live Your Dreams Academy Field in Basori.
Flava Ebbatamogalfredo scored the only goal of the match in the ninth minute to earn Fortune maximum points.
