Gambian striker Ousman Gai has been crowned the Philippines Football League Golden Boot winner after a prolific season with Manila Digger FC, finishing as the league’s top scorer with 32 goals.

Gai, a former Banjul United FC forward, delivered a standout campaign marked by consistent goal-scoring performances that established him as one of the most dangerous attackers in the league.

His tally of 32 goals not only secured the Golden Boot but also set a new record for the highest number of goals scored by a Gambian player in a single season abroad.

The striker’s achievement places him among an elite group of Gambian footballers who have won top scorer awards in foreign leagues, alongside Ali Sowe, Dembo Darboe, Pa Omar Jobe and Abdoulie Gassama.
